In risposta alle numerose richieste arrivate in questi ultimi giorni, la data di scadenza per l’invio del materiale per la Call for Entry 2012 è stata posticipata a venerdì 20 lugli0 2012.
Dopo il successo della prima edizione, FOTOGRAFIA Festival Internazionale di Roma invita fotografi emergenti under 40 provenienti da tutto il mondo a partecipare alla seconda edizione del concorso Call for Entry. Il tema del concorso Call for Entry 2012 si ricollega al tema della XI edizione del Festival: il “lavoro”, un soggetto classico della fotografia documentaria del Novecento che vogliamo rivisitare alla luce dei cambiamenti del linguaggio fotografico e del lavoro stesso.
I progetti presentati saranno valutati da una giuria internazionale, composta da fotografi, critici e curatori, che selezionerà 15 lavori finalisti tra cui un vincitore. I progetti selezionati saranno proiettati all’interno del museo MACRO Testaccio di Roma per l’intera durata del Festival (20 settembre – 4 novembre, 2012) e saranno pubblicati sul sito e sul catalogo ufficiale, dove una sezione speciale sarà dedicata al vincitore. Le proposte saranno valutate e selezionate in base alla qualità del progetto, l’aderenza al tema del Festival, e il curriculum dell’artista.
Per partecipare inviare a callforentryfotografia@gmail.com il seguente materiale: descrizione del progetto (formato .doc o .pdf, max. 2Mb), 10 immagini (JPG, 72dpi, lato lungo 800px), curriculum artistico. Saranno prese in considerazione unicamente le domande pervenute complete entro la data di scadenza.
I risultati saranno pubblicati venerdì 27 luglio 2012 sul Blog del Festival (blog.fotografiafestival.it).
I 15 autori selezionati saranno contattati via email dal team di FOTOGRAFIA per ricevere i file in alta risoluzione entro mercoledì 1 agosto 2012.
In response to many requests coming in these last few days, the deadline for sending the material has been postponed to Friday July 20th, 2012.
After the great success of the first edition, FOTOGRAFIA – International Festival of Rome invites emerging photographers under 40 from around the world to participate to the competition Call for Entry 2012. The subject of the Call for Entry 2012 relates to the theme of the XI edition of FOTOGRAFIA: “Work”, a classical subject of the documentary photography of the twentieth century that we want to revisit in light of changes in the language of photography and the work itself.
The projects presented at FOTOGRAFIA Call for Entry 2012 will be judged by an international jury composed of photographers, critics and curators. The jury will select 15 finalist artists and a winner. The projects of the 15 selected photographers will be projected for the entire duration of the Festival (September 20th – November 4th, 2012) within the MACRO Testaccio Museum and published in the catalog and website, where a special attention will be reserved to the winning project.
Proposals will be evaluated and selected on the basis of project quality, adherence to the theme of the Festival, and the resume of the artist.
To participate please send the following material to callforentryfotografia@gmail.com: statement (.doc or .pdf, max. 2Mb), 10 pictures (JPG, 72dpi, 800px long side), artistic resume. Only complete applications received by the due date will be taken into account.
The shortlist will be announced Friday July 27th 2012 on the FOTOGRAFIA Blog (blog.fotografiafestival.it).
The 15 authors will be contacted by email from the team of FOTOGRAFIA to receive high resolution files by Wednesday, August 1st 2012.
